Visited Matheson Hammock over the weekend for a sunrise. The winds were very light making the water have almost a mirror finish. The colorful sunrise, the touch of clouds along the horizon and the the beautiful scenery of the shoreline. Click on an image for a larger view.

The small park near the inlet does not open till sunrise, so we got there after the sun came up. A nice beach area and solid jetty of bags of concrete and boulders, The ocean water was very clean and the seas were calm. Click on the photos for larger views.

It was a special day with the kind of skies that are colorful with calm seas and blue sky. The Deerfield Beach Pier has a clean design and stand high off the beach and sea.

South Jetty – Haulover Inlet – Miami

Challenging skies before a sunrise, but the sunrise never came. It was darker then it was normally and the sea was very calm. The south jetty of Haulover Inlet was like a painting against a dark foreboding sky.
