The moon was setting over South Florida Everglades – Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge. The air was still, te water was calm and the sound of birds waking was all around us.

Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge was still and empty – no one was there except us. My friend Ivan and myself.

Spending a few hours taking photos and pulling them together

We had a clear night over South Florida and we headed out to a favorite spot out in the Everglades. The moon set at 3pm so we did not have to deal with moon light. The stars were shining brightly and the wind was almost still. We put on bug spray and could still hear the buzzing of mosquitoes and got a few bites.
We set out cameras up to capture the stars and some star trails. Each star trail has about 120 image to make one photo. Each image is about 30 seconds and taken 1 second apart then stacked to create the star trails.

Traveled to a location to photograph Downtown Miami at night. I took a series of photos to catch the transition from sunset to night time.
