The rough seas at Dania Beach Fishing Pier preceded a cold front that came through later on the day.

I had full intentions of driving north this morning until I rechecked the weather map. That storm front was racing down the state today and changed my plans. I had no desire of driving back in monsoon weather conditions.

Instead, I visited Dania Beach and enjoyed the morning there. It was still very dark, but the waves were crashing along the shore and the breeze was strong.

The Dania Pier

The sun rose and the light was very bright. The light glowed against the weather wood of the pier showing it’s worn lines and faded paint.
