High Atop the Trees
I walked up the 5 stories of stairs of the Observation Tower at Anne Kolb Nature Center to look out across preserve. I noticed some leaves rustling at the top of a tree – about 45 feet off the ground. I found this small raccoon nibbling away and balancing with each step on the small branches.

A breezy fall sunrise off the Hollywood Beach. It was a terrific walk along broadwalk, enjoying the beautiful sunrise as the ocean front restaurants were getting ready to open. There was the fresh smell of coffee and bacon in the air while I was being passed by joggers and bicyclists getting their early morning workouts in.
