Cape Florida Lighthouse

At the southend of Bill Baggs State Park on Key Biscayne is the Cape Florida Lighthouse. Embroiled in a rich history since it was built, it still stands proudly along the shoreline. The lighthouse was constructed in 1825 and decommissioned it in 1990. To read more about the history of the lighthouse – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cape_Florida_Light

Houses on Stilts in the Bay

Shooting from the the southern tip of Key Biscayne in Bill Baggs State Park to view the houses on stilts in the famous area called Stiltsville. The pelicans, cormorants, seagulls and other wild birds use this area as a safe rest spot out in bay. There was one Great White Egret Flying past… Taken with a Canon 7D w/Canon EF 400MM F/5.6L – no tripod – March 18, 2017

Cape Florida Lighthouse, Key Biscayne

Had a great day walking along the southern end of Key Biscayne through Bill Baggs State Park to take photos of the Cape Florida Lighthouse.  So much history and still it is one of the best beaches if you do not like waves!
